i've mentioned this before.
if i haven't, then i had considered it.
i'll bring it up (again) just because
something has brought it back up in
my mind.
this was once said to me:
"if i had to choose between you and
the most beautiful girl in the world...
i'd choose you."
the memory of that statement still rings
in my ears...
*shudders*
so...
i have no doubt that this person (whom
said it) was just trying to give me a
compliment.
however, it kinda brings it into perspective.
at least to me.
wtf is the most beautiful girl in the world?

similar story, different guy:
so i'm dating this self-proclaimed movie
expert...
he FINALLY takes me to a movie that he
wants to see. up until this point, he would
go with his best friend, jake (another moron
er... self-proclaimed movie expert).
so me and this dick...i mean boyfriend go to
see one of the summer's hottest new releases
on opening day (of course) *rolls eyes*.
after the show, my then BF remains silent in
the car ride home.
now, knowing how PROFOUND his *cough*intelligence*cough*
is on movies, i kinda expected him to wow me
with some sort of jargon i've heard him and
jake ramble on about.
so i bring it up... i ask him what he thought
of the movie. he attempts to blow me off with
one of those: "eh, it was alright" kinda things.
i don't buy it.
after persistant query, this fukker forces me
to get kinda angry. i mean, i'm feeling like
a fukkin idiot because my dip-shit boyfriend
won't include me in on his VAST fukkin intelligence.
so i flap about how i don't appreciate him
treating me different than jake and blah blah blah
and how i have insights into movies and shit
and blah blah blah...
so he turns to me and says, "ok...
so-and-so *insert main actress name here* has
got to be the most beautiful woman i've ever seen...
i mean, i could hardly concentrate on
the film because i was so busy thinking about
blah blah blah blah blah blah...."
now, don't get me wrong: i'm sure most guys are
like this... and secondly, i'm sure i could
dredge up enough respect to honor him an applause
for spilling some truth on behalf of all other
males out there....
but this fukker wasn't doing that. NO!
it was the way he said it... as if it was
accompanied with a sneer.
like, "i told you bitch, i'm not going to include
you in on what me and jake talk about so i'm
going to find the rudest fucking thing to say
and say it, that'll shut ya up"
i tried to further the convo past this little
deviation... but the dumbass wouldn't budge.
when we got home........FINALLY.........
the bastard got on the phone to jake and i could
hear him in the other room just fukkin going
on and on about all this shit he coulda talked
to me about...
GAWD!!!! just remembering that right now makes
me wanna shout out to that muther fukker:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
FUCK YOU, YOU
RAT BASTARD, MUTHER FUKKER!!!
whew! i feel better now.

After a movie, it usually takes at least a few minutes letting everything sink in before having anything coherent to say beyond "liked it/was total crap" kinda review.
And maybe he just felt easier movie-chatting with someone he does it with ocassionally too(?)

good point, tard.
i suppose i'm being a bit biased.
had i made the post about no one in
particular, i wouldn't feel so strongly
about it.
well, that and the fact that...
when we saw that movie, we had been
dating/engaged for some time.
i would have suspected he to have been
SOMEwhat inclined to share with me.
he's still a rat bastard in my book.
also, continuing where you left off, tard:
i no longer tend to view movies the way
i used to.
instead, i have noticed that i no longer
view movies for what they are... moreso
what the motive behind the movie is.
i'm not talking about some profound hans
christian anderson moral at the end...
but each second of a movie is spent in my
head... being dissected.
AAAAAH!!! HUME-ITIS AT LARGE!!!!

Did you read her post?..."The most beatiful woman I've ever seen." She is obviously referring to the movie Crossroads...starring none other than the most beautiful woman in the world, Britney Spears.

Movie-in-point from my perspective:
"The Holy Mountain", directed by Alexandro Jodorowsky. Produced in large part (perportedly) by The Rolling Stones. Early 70's.
First time I saw the movie, was just awestruck by set design, architectural weirdness and the mass of Freudian references. That stuck around for too long, nearly the only aspects which came to mind when discussing it.
Later, watched it again, and realized the whole thing was a warning about falling into a religious fervor towards any diety because of a slick-talking figurehead. Pre-Bob Tilton & Heaven's Gate. (In the movie, the "real" messiah gets suckered into believing the Zen-talking master is taking them on a trek to become immortal, but falls short, and only tells them they're ACTORS in a movie).
